Important Hotel Information for observance of Shabbat

The Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown (1-1/2 blocks from Salt Palace) has set up a system to help you with Shabbat observances.

Please book the Radisson hotel by returning the attached form (click here) or by telephone 801-531-7500 and ask for Agel Shabbat Room block.

Even though rooms on low floors have been blocked for you, ask for a lower floor room anyway. If you have any problems, email Byron.McIntosh@Radisson.com.

Procedures for having hotel door opened during Shabbat

  1. Upon check-in, please provide the Front Desk staff with a copy of your passport and everyone staying in your room.
  2. If you do not have a copy, the front desk will make a copy for you and file with your room number.
  3. On Friday and Saturday, if you need to get to your room, go to the Front Desk and tell the clerk that you are _____________(name) and it would be nice to relax in your room number _______. Make certain the names of all those staying in your room are put on your registration information.
  4. For security reasons, the clerk will check your room number and the copy of your passport. Then someone will go with you and unlock your door.

Please note: this procedure is valid only at the Radisson as their hotel staff will be trained to assist you with religious observances.

If have any questions regarding Shabbat, Kosher or any other religious concern, contact Agel's Corporate Rabbi, Rabbi Ariel Konstantyn at agelrabbi@gmail.com.
